What it is

GLP-1S is a semaglutide-class compound, a synthetic peptide analog of human glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1), an incretin hormone. It is structurally modified from native GLP-1 to extend systemic stability, and belongs to the GLP-1 receptor agonist class of peptides.

Research has examined the binding activity of GLP-1 receptor agonists at the GLP-1 receptor, downstream effects on insulin secretion pathways, gastric emptying rate, and glucagon suppression in preclinical and in-vitro models, as well as hypothalamic satiety-signaling pathways in animal studies.
