What it is

BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (15 amino acids) modeled on a stable fragment of body protective compound, a protein first identified in human gastric juice. Its sequence has no meaningful overlap with other known peptide families found in the GI tract.

Preclinical and in-vitro studies have examined BPC-157's interaction with nitric oxide signaling and its antioxidant activity, along with its role in models of tissue repair, angiogenesis (new blood vessel formation), and gut-brain axis signaling involving serotonin and dopamine systems.
